Am I going overboard with my side steps back to film? Just days ago I bought 10 rolls of Lucky SHD100 in 135 film format, and an equal amount in 120 film format. And why?! Trying Rodinal and D76 was fine but I didn't feel involved. With the caffenol recipe I feel involved, closer to the process. Another persuasive factor was shooting my little FED-2 before sending it on its way for the third Pass the RF project. This, together with the caffenol, really sits well with me. I'm now carrying my FED-2 with me everywhere, in favour of the R-D1! Shooting with this limited, small camera with its horribly dim viewfinder is bringing me lots of joy. Developing the films in caffenol does the same thing. I'm enjoying myself, and that's what counts.
